Who Is Warrior Canine Connection?
Founded by mental health professionals, Warrior Canine Connection uses an innovative and proven approach that integrates service dogs directly into a veteran’s therapeutic journey. Rather than simply receiving a trained dog, veterans actively participate in the training process — a model known as the Mission Based Trauma Recovery (MBTR) program.
This approach helps veterans:
- Build confidence and purpose
- Reduce symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and depression
- Develop structure, routine, and emotional connection
- Heal alongside fellow veterans in a supportive environment
